Tinashe is Ready for “Company” On Her Slinky New Single

Tinashe’s Joyride might be on hold for an indefinite period of time, but that hasn’t stopped her from dropping some nice singles recently. Not far removed from her Baywatch-inspired “Superlove” video and single, she returns with her new track “Company.” Debuted on MTV’s new live music show Wonderland, “Company” is a fun, slinky track that finds Tinashe pining for someone to kick it with. “I’m nothing like a girlfriend/I’m not like someone I’m supposed to be/I just want some company/I just need some company,” she sings.

Tinashe’s sophomore album Joyride was originally slated to drop earlier this year, but was delayed without a new release date. She’s unleashed a slew of singles since announcing the album about a year ago, including “Player” with Chris Brown, “Party Favors” with Young Thug, “Ride of Your Life,” and “Superlove.” She was even forced to cancel her planned tour in April, supposedly to finish up work on the album. “Trust me, I am as eager to get it out to you as you are to hear it. I will be wrapping up the finishing touches on Joyride by the end of May, and will be back on the road shortly thereafter to see all of you,” she said at the time. No new information has surfaced since then, although with her getting back to releasing singles, hopefully things are back to moving forward.

While we all wait for any new information to surface about the much-anticipated Joyride, you can purchase Tinashe’s “Company” on iTunes and stream it on Spotify.
