50 Cent Was Arrested in the Caribbean for Using Profanity

50 Cent was reportedly arrested last night after performing a show in the small Caribbean country St. Kitts. The reason? The “In Da Club” rapper reportedly used the word “Motherf—-r” during his set. According to a source that spoke to TMZ, “50 had been warned not to use profanity during his performance in front of 40,000 people. We’re told the DJ didn’t have a clean version of his set, and 50 didn’t pull the mic away from his mouth when he roared, ‘motherf—-r.”

After finishing his set, 50 was reportedly approached by the local police force who took him into custody for violating the island’s profanity laws. The offense is a minor one, but due to the fact that the incident took place on a weekend when the courts are closed, 50 reportedly has to wait around the island until Monday so that he can pay off his fine and put the matter to bed.

The same thing reportedly happened to DMX when he performed in St. Kitts in 2003. Back then, he got into trouble while performing an hour long show in front of a crowd of 3,000 people when he used profanity. “There was a contract signed in which it was made very clear long before the arrival of the artists that there are laws in St. Kitts that do not take kindly to the use of indecent language on stage,” Information Minister Jacinth Henry Martin explained at the time.
