Travi$ Scott is getting his own station on Beats 1, which he just announced in a sit down with Zane Lowe. The interview comes only days before the rapper is set to make a special announcement regarding this long-awaited album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.

“I want people to really understand who we are and show a different side to me,” Scott told Lowe on the radio, noting that he and Chase B will run the station titled .WAV radio and that his first guest will be none other than actor Seth Rogen this Friday, August 12.

He also took a moment out of the interview to announce his new Astroworld Tour. “Astroworld is gonna be one of the illest tours of all time, I’m putting a lot into it.”

Previously, Scott teased a free L.A. event that will kick off “BIRD SZN” and will feature an installation by James Turrell, the artist who inspired Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video. Interestingly enough, Scott revealed that he was working on a short film to accompany the album, so there’s a high chance the visual might be the big surprise that ties all of these clues together.

Scott’s freshly inked deal with Apple Music means that the streaming giant will likely be the first place we can check out the album when it drops. Apple is noted for debuting exclusive visuals, including music videos for Drake and A$AP Rocky and a tour documentary for Taylor Swift, so it would make sense for the service to have something to do with the film.

Scott’s new deal with Apple Music is already proving to be an incredible move for the rapper who now has a new creative outlet on his own radio show. Stay tuned for the full audio of the interview.
