Danny Brown chopped it up with the Sway in the Morning crew Wednesday and revealed some exciting info about his new album Atrocity Exhibition. “I’ve been working on it for like three years,” he said. “I recorded most of it in London.”

He talked about how important bouncing ideas off his rapper friends was for his creative process. “I’d be around A$AP Rocky or ScHoolboy Q,” he said. “With ScHoolboy, we bounced off each other for each other’s albums. Like I heard his album from beginning to end… I’d go to his house and we’d just play songs back and forth so it kinda helped us out.” Danny also noted how much mutual artistic respect they have for each other. “When you got respect for the other artist… I wanna know what the other person is doing because it inspires you,” he said.

Khaled Holds Hands with Laura & Rosenberg, Tells Pun & Joe Stories & Talks Major Key

Miami based rapper Zoey Dollaz discusses his new mixtape “Port-Au-Prince”, signing to Future, wanting to be a pilot and much more with The Breakfast Club.

Joe Budden set the internet aflame after he chased down some kids who ran up on him at his house yelling about Drake and OVO. He ended up catching up with them at a stoplight, rocks in hand, as he warned them—not so kindly—to stay out of his neighborhood. Drake ended up following one of the kids on Instagram, and the whole thing spawned some hilarious memes.

Well, as it turned out, Joe Budden decided to pay those kids a visit the very next day. He showed up at their house, and decided to teach them an important lesson about how stanning on the internet is not the same as messing with people in real life.

Lil Yachty joins Sway in the Morning to speak on his quick rise to rap stardom. He speaks on being the king of the youth and doesn’t know how long he’ll keep rapping. During his time he also talks about hanging with Kylie Jenner and drops a freestyle.

Desiigner’s explosive new single “Tiimmy Turner” has garnered a wide variety of reactions. Part of the reason for the song’s hype is that no one is quite sure why Desiigner is talking about Timmy Turner, the main character of the Fairly OddParents. In a new interview with AllDefDigital, Desiigner explains who Timmy Turner represents: himself.

It’s no secret that Save Money rappers Vic Mensa and Joey Purp are tight, but their recent freestyle on Sway in the Morning takes their collaborative spirit to a whole new level. It starts off pretty normal, with Vic spitting some bars off the top. He’s demonstrated his freestyling abilities over and over recently, so it wasn’t too surprising to see him doing well. Once Joey comes in, however, things really get interesting. He fires off a nice verse before Vic jumps back in for more. Purp comes in again, and soon they’re going line for line with each other. The skills on display are undeniably impressive, especially when they manage to coordinate a dueted ending on the fly.

TI Breaks Down the Problems Facing Our Country

Hip-hop mogul Jermaine Dupri sat down with Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson and Brian “B-Dot” Miller and opened up about his instant connection with his longtime friend and collaborator, Jay Z.

“Me and Jay have like, conversations that I’m sure he probably don’t have with nobody else because you know, that’s how we met each other,” said Dupri before recalling the time Jay sampled a line off Dupri’s tape. When they finally linked up in person, the connection was instant. “When we had a conversation, we sounded like two people that knew each other already.” The two later combined Dupri’s Southern sound with Jay’s Harlem style on their 1998 hit, “Money Ain’t A Thang,” which is obviously one of the best dirty South/New York rap collaboration of all time.

The two are so close that Dupri revealed he already knows the album of Jay Z’s new project. When pressed if we can expect Dupri to appear on the release, he shook his head. “I’m probably…It might be done.”
